The paint process is moving along nicely and got around to painting the firewall and interior space black

Also had some time to pick up my new car today!

It’s been sitting for like 5 years so there’s a bunch of service work that needs to be done on it, but once that’s done I plan on using this as my DD.

Also also!, my driveway is getting kinda ridiculous so something has got to go...

Maa aybe. Little known fact: Compared to the fresh sushi smell they used in the Subaru variant, in order to make this car feel more Swedish they scented it with the traditional swedish dish  surströmming smell (rotten herring). That’s probably why it never sold very well...

Yep. 5-speed, every option besides sunroof and the 17" wheels. All stock for now aside from the mudflaps.

Alright nice! Mine’s got the 17" wheels and the sunroof but unfortunately it’s an auto. Would have loved a manual but since there’s only a total of like 3 cars in the e ntire country it wasn’t exactly like there was much to choose from.

Haha, yeah. I’ve only ever seen 2 other aeros in person. I love those wheels, doubt I’ll ever find a set in good condition semi-locally though. Does it have any mods done to it?

Also, I don’t see any exterior rust - but if they salt roads in your area you may want to check out the rear strut towers. They are notorious for rusting out where the back seatback latches to them. Unfortunately you can really only tell how bad it is by taking the back half of the interior apart..

They’re alright, though I feel like I could do with one step bigger at 18" and then maybe lower the car a bit as well. No mods done to except that someone replaced all the intercooler piping with those blue silcon hoses. I’m sure that it adds at least 50 hp...

Haven’t seen any rust on this car yet but I’m not too surprised about that. This was originally a California car that was imported to Sweden 2015. And from what I’ve been able to gather it’s basically been sitting in a private collection ever since. It even only has 40000 miles on the clock! This is almost to the point where I would feel bad for using it in the winter over here...

Whoa, only 40k miles, t hat’s crazy! Yeah, being a California car you shouldn’t have much to worry about. Are you planning on changing the timing belt? I would, just due to age & to be on the safe side.

Yup! Will be ordering parts today so I can perform a big service on it later this week. After that I'll get it inspected and then I'll finally be able to start using it. Looking forward to seeing what it feels like when you start pushing it some.
